As a self-taught photographer, I first worked with argentic photography, from the shooting to the laboratory, training in methods of black & white development ant printing.
Since digital photography appeared, I have been trying to perfectly master my pictures, from shooting to post-production and printing. Early passionate for architecture, photography soon came to me as a media not only unique but aslo complementary to drawing, to capture the world around me and its inhabitants, to commute them. My training as an architect has been deeply contributing to develop my photographer eye, making me especially aware of the game of perspecives and deepth, the structuring power of lines and lights, the evocating strenght of shapes and textures to sculpt, through my pictures, my own perception of reality. My professionnal carreer and my personnal history made me explore and question naturally the space human being creates around him on one way, and this body he tries to inhabit in the other. We all have been exploring these two universes, trying to appropriate them both, one compared with the other. From built landscape to bodyscape, my work as a photographer tries to pay tribute to all these territories the eye tries to take in... however big they are... One same source of inspiration, one common concern : to explorate the graphic dimensions, the aesthetic qualities, the erotic charge of theses -scapes, which appear as pictures sometimes figurative and sometimes abstract... to finally reveal the intensity of their poetry. |
